US entertainer Finn, who was seen in popular television series like "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in LA on Monday having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, per media reports.
"He never met a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his family stated in a announcement.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".
His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.
He subsequently landed a regular part on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, playing a social organizer known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.

Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show between 2011 and 2018.
His cinematic roles are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe called "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils throughout the years and it would be difficult to find a person anywhere who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote online.
Pat Finn is survived by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his parents and siblings.
