Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to water systems, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen rockets struck energy facilities, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Area administrators said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A young boy was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks come after nights of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
