Iran Claims Attack on US Base in Bahrain, During Widespread Military Operations.

Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in response for a significant and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is unclear and the United States has not commented.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported debris fell on a residential area in the capital, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
