Powerful Typhoon Heads for Vietnam Following Resulting in at Least 114 Fatalities in Philippines
Prior to hitting in Vietnam, the typhoon resulted in catastrophic damage in the Philippines - and at least 114 people dead.
Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has announced a state of emergency - defined by circumstances including numerous deaths, extensive property destruction, and interruption of income sources and daily routines for local inhabitants.
The typhoon, known locally as Tino, ripped through the heavily populated island of Cebu, flooding complete communities and carrying vehicles down roads.
Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated, while some are sheltering in designated safe zones.

Rescue teams have started operations while affected citizens find refuge in designated safe areas.
The scale of this catastrophe has resulted in large-scale disaster relief throughout the impacted areas.

The severe weather has made homeless in excess of 400k people in the Philippines.
Roadways are covered in mud and photographs reveal heaps of automobiles scattered throughout the affected areas.
