The star midfielder Operated in a forward role down the right and also put in the hard yards. Showed flashes of quality but dragged a shot high. Replaced late on by Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's clearest opportunity in the opening period, his shot smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, he was forced to offer an outlet down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were inconsistent. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring two more strikes in an England shirt. The opener a typical poacher’s finish and the second an excellent finish with his head following a clever run from his marker. Aged 32, his form is unwavering and the side have every chance in future competitions when he's in the team. 8

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening when set up by the midfielder however the keeper made the save. His replacement made much more of influence in his place. 5
